It’s our responsibility to invest in our kids, and in our future. Public education is often the first thing to be cut when times are tough, but that is a short-sighted approach. We can’t continue to cut public education funding while giving tax credits to private institutions. By putting more dollars in the classroom, we can help every child in Western Illinois get the education they deserve.

Social Services

During a two-year budget impasse, many social services were shut down or diminished throughout Western Illinois. These are services that people depend on for transportation and for medical care. These services can no longer be used as bargaining chips in Springfield’s partisan war.
